This workshop has mainy provided training to participants on teaching pedagogy to make extensive use of technology and has cover teaching of following topics:

1. Introduction, history and layering
2. Physical Layer:theory, encoding techniques
3. Link Layer: Framing, Error detectionand recovery and reliability
4. Network Layer: Addressing, routing,IP
5. Transport Layer: Reliability and congestion control
6. Application Layer: DNS, Web/HTTP, Email, FTP, Peer to peer Systems

As part of the workshop rigorous lab experiments were practised by the participants and had hands on experience on tools like:

1. Tcpdump
2. Wireshark
3. Network simulator
4. Socket programmimg
