A Panel Discussion on “Need of the hour – Entrepreneurship & Intrapreneurship” was organized by Aavishkaran – Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Anurag Group of Institutions on 24/8/2016, The panelists were Entrepreneur Catalysts from Col BS Rao (Retd) – Consultant & Trainer, Elan Leadership, Dr. Nandita Sethi – Founder & Managing Director, The Entrepreneur Zone, Mr. Sanjay Gadhalay – COO and Managing Consultant, SGC Enterprises, and Vijay Gunti – Director, Digi Labs.

The discussion addressed the need for entrepreneurship in the present scenario and emphasized the students to develop intrapreneurial skills for better career in their organizations. Difference between entrepreneurship and intrepreneurship, various factors encouraging entrepreneurship today such as government schemes, digital empowerment, markets willing to experiment and existence of support systems like Entrepreneurial Catalysts, BYST, NEN, government organisations etc have been addressed. The dire need for the younger generation to look up for entrepreneurial options than employment is stressed in the discussion. The panel members shared their experiences with the students in their entrepreneurial journey. They have encouraged students to overcome self doubt and said proper planning and good product idea are the most important issues in ensuring success in entrepreneurship.
