International conference on “Readdressing research in pharmaceutical sciences” from March 1st to March 3rd

Anurag Group of Institutions School of pharmacy (Formerly Lalitha College of Pharmacy), Ghatkesar is conducting international conference on “Readdressing research in pharmaceutical sciences” from March 1st to March 3rd. The conference was inaugurated by Chairman Dr. Rajeshwar reddy, Dr. Prakash V Diwan, Director, School of Pharmacy, Chief guest Dr. Jullus Anthony Vaz, Global Program medical director, Novartis. Around 400 participants from 40 colleges covering different regions of the country attended the conference. In three parallel sessions 22 guest speakers from industry, academia and R&D delivered their valuable lectures covering different branches of pharmaceutical sciences. Dr. Prakash V Diwan addressed delegates about the conference and expressed the importance of research activities in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. The chief guest of international conference, Dr. Jullus Anthony Vaz has given his valuable speech on pharmaceutical research and career and challenges to be faced by pharmacists in health care. The guests of honor of the conference Dr. J. B. Guptha, Senior vice president, GVK Biosciences has given a key note address on drug discovery mechanism using robotic technology and Dr.MNA Rao, General Manager, R&D, Divi’s laboratories has delivered his speech on pharmaceutical salts. The souvenir has been released by the honorable Chair person, Director and the chief guest. The Chairman Dr. Rajeshwar Reddy congratulated Dr. Prakash V Diwan for conducting the conference. The inauguration program was concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. Prakash V Diwan and he expressed his sincere thanks to all those associated directly and indirectly for the success of the conference.

On the eve of second day of “Readdressing research in pharmaceutical sciences: A global perspective” international conference-2013 School of pharmacy (Formerly Lalitha college of Pharmacy) , Anurag group of Institutions organised scientific sessions by 21 resource persons from industry, academia and research institutes. Dr.T.R.S chouhan chair man Agragami Global Ltd., London, Dr.S.B.M.P. Halakatti associate vice president Granules India Ltd.,Dr.P.Reddanna director National Institute of Animal Biotechnology,Dr.K.Ravikumar chief scientist IICT, Dr.V.Peesapati professor NIPER Prof.C.V.Chalapathi Rao Osmania University, Dr.A.V.Chalapathi Rao, Thermo Scientific Ltd has delivered their key note address in the areas of clinical research, formulations, analytical research and development, pharmaceutical research and health care and interacted with delegates from various institutions and exchanged their research opinions. The afternoon session was started with poster and oral presentations in which delegates from various universities like Osmania , Palamuru university and academic institutions like Tirumala college of pharmacy, Malla Reddy group of institutions, G. Pulla Reddy college of pharmacy presented their postures in the wide areas of Pharmaceutical research, analytical development and pre clinical toxicology. The evening session was kick started with cultural programmes in which students from various departments of Pharmacy took part actively and concluded with vote of thanks by Dr.prakash V diwan director school of pharmacy to all the organising commitees of the conference RRIPS-2013.

On the eve of last day of International conference on “READDRESSING RESEARCH IN PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES A GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE “ at Anurag group of institutions , school of pharmacy , Formerly Lalitha college of pharmacy conducted symposium on cardiovascular diseases .It was addressed by the cardiologists from NIMS Dr.A.N Patnaik and DR.Krishna Prasad and Dr.Sahu from Durgabhai deshmukh hospital and delivered their lecture on prevention and treatment of different cardiovascular diseases .Scientific session has been addressed by DR.A.V.Sharma ,R &D, SANZYME LIMITED,DR.PRAVEEN BOMMU, Managing director, APTUS BIOSCIENCES AND DR.C.Sheshagiri Rao. These research persons delivered their valuable speech on Reproductive endocrinology, Natural products and potential leads and preclinical toxicology. Research persons from IICT,NIPER and other institutes DR.Narahari Shastry, DR.V.G.M.Naidu,DR.A.Raghu Ramrao and DR.P.Pavan Kumar expressed their views in different areas of pharmaceutical sciences .Intercollegiate pharma quiz was conducted in collaboration with Royal society of chemistry (London),Deccan chapter by honorable secretary DR.V.Peesapati. Six colleges have been participated in the final session of quiz.The dignitaries from IICT DR.S.Ramakrishna ,Principal scientist and DR.Rajiv Arab, Senior medical officer,and the chairman of the institution DR.Rajeshwar Reddy ,Director DR.Prakash V. Diwan were attended the validatory function. The honourable chairman and the director congratulated the co-ordinators DR.V.V.L.N .Prasad, DR.A.Padmanabam, DR.B.Vasudha, A.Madhu Babu, K.Rajini and all the staff members and volunteers for the success of three day
international conference.
