Report on Industrial visit to ALEAP Industries on 10/2/2017

Aavishkaran, The E-Cell of Anurag Group of Institutions has organised one day visit to The Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of India (ALEAP), Kukatpally, Hyderabad on 10/2/2017 to provide actual exposure to culture and various functions of an Industry.

Altogether 100 students and 6 faculty members have availed this opportunity. During the visit Ms. Swathi, ALEAP has effectively demonstrated about each and every process involved in ALEAP facility in their conference room. They have illustrated like what types of functions are there, how one could be part of ALEAP and how ALEAP trains young entrepreneurs. Later students were taken to the floor for a view of live production line where workers were performing their usual jobs on the machines which was quite exciting and amazing for the students.

This visit was coordinated by Mrs. Vishnu Vandana, Coordinator, E-Cell and Dr Radhika Meenakshi Shankar, Wise Owl Consulting. The list of few units visited include Surya Electronics, Biosciences, Paper cup making, Dyeing, Tablet packaging and labeling, Biscuit making, Jute Bags, Fish food manufacturing, Cardboard manufacturing and sanitary manufacturing.

The visit has succeeded in creating opportunity to students to gain insights to various types of industries, differnet functions involved, the interdisciplinary nature of various industries and in invoking the students thoughts in identifying different entrepreneurial opportunities underlying each segment. Objective of Industry Visit

The visit provides a student interface to actual industries to know what kind of real world problems are there and how they are being resolved. The students must know the working culture and atmosphere of any industry where ultimately they will be deployed after completing their degree. An Industry visit is always an effort in the direction of making these budding entrepreneurs into a true professional and towards imbibing entrepreneurial culture.
