Microsoft Innovation Center – Appspot Inauguration Report

The inauguration of the much anticipated app club named “Appspot” by Anurag Group of Institutions in association with Microsoft Innovation Center was held on October 1, 2015. This club is dedicated to provide students a platform to enhance their technical skills exponentially and to manifest these skills by encouraging them to develop applications with primary implications towards producing pragmatic solutions for real world issues. Although the foremost concentration of this club is to create innovative, serviceable and practical apps, this club is about so much more that than. It is about heading into the future in a proper direction and mastering the art of internet of things.

The chief guest for this event were Mr. Phani Kondepudi, Founder and Chairman of 3X3 Connect. He has been a constant support system for the college and has also been a part of many important events organized at the college in the past. He gave an astonishingly inspirational speech about how one can contribute to the golden age of technology, the evolution of technology and how one can sharpen the broad line that exists between rural areas and technology. His enthusiasm towards this event was one of the most vital reasons for its success.

The guest of honor for the event were Mr. Chinmay, Marketing Executive of Microsoft India, Delhi. He was connected to the event throughSkype. He gave several insightful details on how the services provided by Microsoft can help students expand their horizons and also answered several questions asked by the students.

Students got to witness knowledgeable and certainly motivational speeches by Prof. M Mutha Reddy, Principle of Anurag Group of Institutions, Dr. G Vishnu Murthy, Professor and HOD of CSE branch, Dr. V Vijaya Kumar, Professor and Dean of CSE branch and Mr. B Ravinder Reddy, Assistant Professor and Facilitator of Appspot. The speeches by all the respectable guests converged into becoming a sea of knowledge and motivation for the students.

The inauguration ceremony began by unveiling the logo and T- Shirts for Appspot, several goodies such as a customized Appspot pen were presented to all the guests. Many presentations were hosted by the fellow coordinators of Microsoft Innovation Center. The evolution of Windows and why it was chosen as a catalyst for the progression of the organization was presented in a very sophisticated manner which generated a lot of curiosity among students to be a part of this club.

Ms. Vaishnavi, Mr. Vivardhan Rao and Shravan Madhamshetty were revealed to be the President, Vice President and Technical Secretary of Appspot.

The event began and concluded with great harmony between the audience, organizers and the guests. The effort made by all the organizers to make this a successful and momentous event was appreciated by every single person who attended the event. Inauguration of Appspot was a major milestone yet to be transcended by Anurag Group of Institutions and now that it has been accomplished, we move forward towards achieving wonders.
