A seminar on Grass Root Level Innovations – Entrepreneurship development was held on 14.08.2014 by Brig (Retd) Ganesham, Palle Srujana and Mr. Kranthi Kumar , Idea Studio for all the students interested in Entrepreneurship and developing community projects. The seminar addressed the issue of importance of entrepreneurship and the need for creating products for the major segment of the society. The seminar focused on grass root level innovations done by many villagers and farmers which changed the way they perform the works. Brig (Retd.) Ganesham emphasized that the students should try to innovate products which are MLM “ More from Less for More” ie using minimum resources and useful for maximum number of citizens. He said innovations can come only when students understand the situations around them and have Samvedana and empathise with the hard working people of the society that they can develop products useful to the maximum number. Innovations shown included President Award Winning products like Asu Machine, Spraying Hand Pump, Lights & Fan Remote, Innovative windmill etc which were developed by villagers. ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARENESS CAMP, 16-18th Oct, 2014
A three day “Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp “ was held at Anurag Group of Institutions in association with EDC Cell, Osmania University sponsored by NSTEDB, DST, New Delhi from 16-18th October, 2014. Interested students from all branches of the Engineering and MBA were registered for this programme. The programme involved 7 sessions by 7 speakers from various industries and academics. The main aim of the event was to create awarenesss about entrepreneurshipto the students interested to become entrepreneurs and to provide knowledge on topics of Project identification, Project Feasibility, Banking and loans, Licenses and clearances, Communication skills, Business laws for entrepreneurs and various sources of finance available for entrepreneurs. Students actively participated in the sessions and expressed positive interest in choosing entrepreneurship as their career.
Startup Weekend Hyderabad is a entrepreneurial platform where people pitch their ideas in 60 seconds or less. After enough marketing and advertising, the Top 10 Ideas are selected by voting and are given 54 hours of time to show the judges an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) at the end of the 2nd day. Abhishek from CVSR Mechanical 3rd year is a part of the team that won First Prize for “Colour Me Black” ; Mr. Prithvi – 4th year IT student and Mr. Vishal – 3rd year Mechanical students of the team “WIth Flying Colours” won Second Prize for their innovative ideas.
