Dear Sir/Madam,

We are very pleased to announce our fifteenth two-week ISTE workshop on “Computer Programming ” from 16th June – 21st June , 2014. It is conducted under the National Mission on Education through ICT, MHRD, Govt. of India.

This workshop will be conducted through the DISTANCE EDUCATION mode. The workshop will be transmitted live through internet (A-View software) to various coordinating remote centers across the country. Please note that all the activities of this workshop will be done exclusively at the 279 coordinating remote centers, across the country.

We will run this workshop in blended MOOC model, so as to train teachers for adopting the use of Massive Open Online courses (MOOCs) in general, and to empower them to use the blended model in particular.

Since this workshop will be conducted in the blended model, the participants will have to complete the online activities. We will inform you about the activities after registration confirmation. These online activities will be equivalent of one week of full-time work, and will be done over 5 calendar weeks, from 11th May – 15th June 2014 by the participants, from their own work/home places. The face to face interaction will be of one week, through A-view video transmission at the selected RCs will commence from Monday 16th June , 2014 to Saturday, 21st June, 2014.

This workshop is aimed at enhancing the teaching skills of faculty in core Engineering. The workshop will benefit faculty teaching Computer Programming, where the subject computer programming is taught as a part of regular academic degree of the parent university.

Teachers currently serving with any college / institute are eligible to attend the workshop. Faculty who are pursuing Ph.D may also attend as long as they are employed in an engineering college/ polytechnic.
This workshop is only for Faculty*.

*Please note: Students and full time research scholars are not eligible for participation, funds or certificates.*

Those wishing to attend this workshop should enroll online at the above website.

While enrolling, it is mandatory to upload a scanned copy of permission letter. The permission letter must be signed and approved by the Principal/Head of their institute permitting the participant to attend the ISTE Workshop.

Enrollment will be strictly online and no other applications will be entertained.

Last date for enrollment is 9th May 2014.

A list of selected participants will be put up on the website on 10th May 2014. The selected participants will also be informed by email. Online activity is mandatory and will begin on 11th May 2014.
