Microsoft has conducted APPFEST 2012 during 21st and 22nd Sept’ 2012 at Bengaluru and created history by getting 2567 (out of which 67 were from Department of CSE, AGI) developers at one place and conducting a code marathon. developers of all ages participated and have developed new, state of the art APPs and deployed them in APPStore. This complete Marathon went for 18hours.

Eminent Personalities from Microsoft like Jon DeVaan, Corporate Vice President, Windows Development and Nandan Nilekani, Chairman, UIDAI were among those who were present at the event. Thanks to Paul O’Neil, Vice President, Guninness World Records Ltd, for recognizing this FEST as part of Guninness Book of World Records as it was a unique, first time event conducted ever with so many developers as said by himself.
