HACKATHON REPORT – 20-22nd December, 2018

A 36 hour Hackathon VIBHAVANA 2k18 was organized by E Cell and ECE Department in collaboration with J HUB of JNTUH from 20th December to 22nd December, 2018. The Themes of hackathon were IoT based solutions for Agri Tech, Urban Transportaion, Rural Development and others.Total of 100 teams from various colleges registered for the hackathon. A preliminary short listing was done to screen only students with relevant ideas and a total of 50 teams were invited to participate in the hackathon and 39 teams have performed 36 hours..

A Boot camp for the registered students was conducted on 20.12.2018 by MrVignesh on IoT. DrShantaThoutam, VP, Innovations and BD, T Hub graced the inaugural as the Chief Guest of the inauguralfunction and Mr. MaruthiRao, IEEE chairman Hyderabad as Guest of Honour on 21.12.2018.morning. Jury of 8 members from academia and industry judged and mentored the student ideas on both the days and 20 teams were shortlisted for the final presentation on 22.12.2018 evening. 3 teams were selected as the top three ideas from the hackathon. MrHafeezBasha, Consultant, NititAyog, was the Chief Guest for the valedictory function.
