Anurag Group of Institutions witnessed a phenomenal event on Saturday, the 25th of November, 2017, where students were invited to peek into the minds of the HR personnel from various industries. The event “SHRD – ARISE FUTURE SCOPE” was an eye-opener to the students who were given an unparalleled opportunity to have a direct interaction with the esteemed guests.

The event started with our respected Director, Dr. K.S. Rao, welcoming the panel members and inspiring students to be as interactive as possible. He further added that a very few times in our lives as students would we get an opportunity to look at the interviews from HR’s perspective and the students should be willing to extract as much information as possible.

Mr. Suresh Samudrala– Sr. Business HR Lead & GM – HR Tech Mahindra enraptured the attention of audience and students with his straight to the point, brief and succinct information. His speech was full of real time experiences and he shed some light on the expectations of the corporate world from the students.

The speech was followed by a Panel Discussion, moderated by Mr. Ch. Dakshina Murthy –AGM – Corporate HR- Suven Life Sciences. The panel members were Mr. Nagesh K – Sr. GM – HR, AurobindoPharma, Mr. I V S Ranganath – Head HR, Signode India, and Mr. Emmanuel Gosula – Sr. Mgr – HR, EPAM Systems. The panel members not only informed us about the changing trends in IT world, but also took us through a small but an impactful world of Pharmacy and Agriculture. Their insights in the aforementioned were no less than an eye – opener.

Students cleared their doubts and Mr. Dakshina Murthy was a pleasure to listen to. He infused fun in learning and kept the attention of the students, intact. After a hearty discussion with the students, Mr. Ramesh Mantena – Director HR Evoke Technologies moderated the second panel. The panel included Mr. K. NarayanaRao – Head HR, NCC Limited, Mr. T. Sreenivas Sharma – Head – HR & Training, Coromandel Fertilizers and Mr. Veera Chappi- Principal HR BP – CA Technologies. This panel centered their discussion on the future skills students need to empower themselves. They focused on how a student can keep himself/herself updated with the changing and dynamic world around them. What the students need to expect from the industry and what the industry expects from them. They also spoke about the scope of Non – IT students and how they can benefit from the growing technologies in future.

The event ended with the panel members being felicitated. It was a small token of gesture in return to the vast amount of knowledge the panel members shared with the college students. These events help us keep in touch with the real world and also give aspiring students the required amount of exposure to the outside world. In short, the event was fulfilling, rewarding, productive and a satisfactory one.
